Who's Been There
Schadrac Casimir scored over 1,500 points at the Division I level despite
standing just 5'8". He first made his mark at Trinity Catholic High School,
where he averaged 27 points per game as a senior, earned All-State honors
three times, was named Player of the Year, and helped lead his team to a
state championship during his sophomore season. He set the Connecticut record
for points in a season with 722 and scored a 50-point game against Greenwich.
After competing in the elite NEPSAC league at South Kent School—where he
scored 36 points against a Brewster Academy team led by future NBA star
Donovan Mitchell—Casimir went on to star at Iona College, earning
2015 Freshman All-American honors and MAAC Rookie of the Year. He was a
three-time MAAC Conference Champion and helped lead Iona to two NCAA Tournament
appearances, competing against top programs including Duke and Oregon.
He finished his collegiate career at Florida Gulf Coast University, averaging
a team-high 14 PPG and earning Second Team All-ASUN honors. He broke the school
record for free throw percentage (89%) and three-point percentage (47%),
and led the country in three-point percentage for half of the season. Today,
Casimir uses his experience to train and mentor the next generation through
Casimir Basketball Development.
